Classic Lake Como Boat Photoshoot and Villa Melzi d'Eril - Travel Couple Session 35mm with Melissa and Tyler

The iconic main street of Bellagio - Lake Como

I'm thrilled to share the incredible journey of Melissa and Tyler's recent photoshoot in the enchanting haven of Bellagio, nestled on the shores of the stunning Lake Como. This hot August evening was a perfect blend of romance, history, and breathtaking vistas, making it an ideal location for destination weddings or dreamy honeymoons.

Lake Como: A Paradise for Romance

Picture azure waters framed by rolling hills and charming villages – that's Lake Como in a nutshell. As a haven for lovers, this idyllic destination has become synonymous with romance. Its ethereal beauty and timeless charm create an ambiance like no other, making it a dream setting for destination weddings and unforgettable honeymoon getaways. The combination of serene lakeside views, lush gardens, and historic villas form a backdrop that is nothing short of magical.

Villa Melzi d'Eril: Where Elegance Meets Nature

Our first stop was the exquisite Villa Melzi d'Eril, a place that truly embodies the essence of Italian elegance. Set against the backdrop of Lake Como, this villa boasts meticulously manicured gardens, adorned with sculptures and exotic flora. The villa's neoclassical architecture, juxtaposed with its natural surroundings, provided us with an array of captivating settings for our photoshoot. From charming pathways to hidden nooks, every corner of this location whispered tales of love and beauty.

A Fusion of Digital and Film Photography

For this unique session, I decided to blend the art of digital and film photography. Among my experiments was a roll of Kodak film expired back in 2004. While the outcome was uncertain, I embraced the unknown and overexposed the film by two stops – one stop for each decade of its expiration. To my delight, the photos exuded a gentle graininess that added character to the shots. In post-production, I applied my signature editing style to enhance the images, ensuring they radiated warmth and emotion.

A Taxi Tour to Remember - Lake Como Boat

Our adventure continued as we embarked on a remarkable taxi tour with "Lake Como Boats," a company that knows Lake Como like the back of its hand. Cruising along, we passed by iconic locations like the iconic Villa Balbianello, a historic villa famous for its appearances in movies like James Bond and Star Wars. Grand Hotel Tremezzo also graced our route, its grandeur reflecting in the waters as we floated by.

Melissa and Tyler: A Radiant Couple

Melissa and Tyler, a vivacious duo I had the pleasure of meeting last year in Positano for their Vintage Car photoshoot, once again brought their infectious energy to the session. Their chemistry and joy for life always shine through, making every shot a true reflection of their love story. It's an absolute delight to work with them and explore the diverse wonders Italy has to offer.

In a world filled with picture-perfect destinations, Bellagio – Lake Como stands as a testament to nature's beauty and human artistry. From the historic allure of Villa Melzi d'Eril to the captivating taxi tour, every element of Melissa and Tyler's photoshoot unfolded like a dream. If you're seeking a blend of elegance, romance, and breathtaking views, Lake Como should undoubtedly be at the top of your list.

And guess what? Our day of capturing love and adventure didn't end without a sweet touch – literally! We wrapped up our shoot with some mouthwatering gelato. Melissa and Tyler dug into their favorite flavors, and I snapped away to capture those fun and candid moments. Because, let's be honest, who can resist gelato, especially with such a stunning backdrop?

And there you have it, dear readers, a glimpse into the magic we captured during Melissa and Tyler's Bellagio adventure. Until the next tale of love and wanderlust, keep embracing life's beautiful moments through the lens of your camera.
